A Little Bit  About Father Mike

My name is Reverend Mike or  "Father Mike",  from A Priest on Call Ministry.

After serving honorably for three years of active duty in the Army during the Vietnam era,  I began my preparation for the priesthood in 1970.

I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Oblate College in Washington D.C. in 1973 and successfully completed

my graduate studies in Theology at the Washington Theological Union in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1976.

I also have a Masters in Educational Psychology.

After a year of internship as a Deacon, I was ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood in May of 1977.  I served as a religious missionary priest for 14 years in Brazil and part of that time in Haiti.

I decided to leave the religious congregation to follow my heart, because I believed I was also called to the married state,  and was granted laicization and married in the Catholic Church.   My lovely wife and I have been married for over 30 years and have three precious  grown daughters and blessed with four adorable grandchildren.

My Mission

I believe that the door to salvation is always open. My mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus Christ by reaching to those who seek truth and meaning in their lives.

I firmly believe that my mission is to go out to those who are disenfranchised from the church, or for one reason or another, have left the church altogether and to those who are unchurched but seek a spiritual blessing on their lives.

I open the door to listen and be compassionate as we walk together in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

“The Church must be a place of mercy freely given, where everyone can feel                                                  welcomed, loved, forgiven, and encouraged to live the good life of the Gospel.” ―
